Original Text

WE GIVE IT UP. - We admit the fact. We think that the picture of Jenny Lind, taken by ROOT, is the greatest likeness of the day. It is a splendid thing - so life-like, so elegant and tasty. All of ROOT's Daguerrotypie Pictures are of this sort. They are gay, dashing glorious works of art. His Picture Gallery, S. W. corner Broadway and Franklin-st. is a gem in this way. It is free to all. His Saloons are gorgeous, and are always full of fashionable people.
