THE SECOND LIND CONCERT AUCTION at the Tremont Temple this forenoon was fully attended, and although the bidding was not quite as spirited and brisk as on the first occasion, yet it was steadily maintained at tolerably round prices. The sale of seats was by whole slips at once - no single seats being put up - and the first choice was taken by the Revere at $5 50 premium per seat. During the first hour and a half the lowest successful bid was $3 25. The Revere, Tremont, Albion and Pavilion hotels were among the principal purchasers.
The auction concluded at a quarter past 12, every slip having been sold. The most incligible seats -- those in the back part of the galleries, and also under the galleries -- brought a premiam of $2 12 ½ each. Mr J. F. Marsh, of the Bee, purchased some 1200 seats in a body, at this price.
From 75 to 100 seats in different parts of the house, were reserved for the press and invited guests, as before. Col Thompson announced that the tickets sold and not called for on Monday would be forfeited; and that purchasers must be in the occupancy of their seats by 8 o'clock on the evening of the Concert, or they would not be guaranteed after that time.
The net receipts of the second Concert will be about $15,000.
